Fast-Track Scaffolding for Modular MMC Teaching Block

KAS Scaffolding Limited partnered with Auburn Group to deliver a critical access scaffolding package for a state-of-the-art Year 5 & 6 teaching block.

Embracing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), this fast-track educational project required precision infrastructure to support off-site manufacturing and modular assembly.

Working in tandem with other trades, KAS Scaffolding delivered a comprehensive perimeter scaffold designed specifically to facilitate the seamless integration of prefabricated OSKOP panels.

Accelerated Timelines and Off-Site Modular Integration

The primary logistical challenge on this modular build was the highly accelerated construction programme inherent to MMC projects. With the rapid completion of drainage systems, attenuation tanks, and crane pad installations, the site operated on strict, just-in-time delivery schedules.

KAS Scaffolding was required to erect the entire perimeter structure within an exceptionally tight timeframe to prevent bottlenecks. Furthermore, the scaffolding design had to flawlessly accommodate a newly erected tower crane and provide exact structural tolerances to support the crane-assisted installation of the off-site OSKOP panels without impeding the rapid modular assembly sequence.

This rapid, reliable deployment provided a safe, compliant working platform that allowed the OSKOP modular panels to be installed seamlessly, keeping this first-class MMC educational facility firmly on track and showcasing KAS’s proven capability to support modern, fast-paced modular builds.

I had KAS Scaffolding on a project that consisted of 22no Apartments and a commercial unit.

Before, during and after scaffolding works KAS were always easy to work with.

Works were undertaken smoothly and efficiently with attention to detail i.e. clipping all Scaff boards, aesthetically pleasing scaffold, labour well presented with critical dates always met.
